The Bobo Junket Guide to the Best & Coolest Cafepress Shops (please bookmark!)

Anyone who has ever spent any time browsing around Cafepress knows that although there is some really great stuff, you inevitably have to wade through a TON of crappy unoriginal junky stuff to find it. And if you have a slow internet connection, this can be like watching grass grow. SO... here it is. This is not an exhaustive list- there are probably many cool shops I haven't found yet. I've tried to focus on shops by talented artists and designers and shops with cohesive themes. Often the best artists aren't the best at marketing themselves and the shops that are really good at marketing themselves are full of dumb slogans they got from other people's shops and/or endless pages of random clip art. I'm  not entirely opposed to clip art if the user is creative and does something inventive with it. I am opposed to people simply uploading tons of unaltered clip art and work by famous artists and selling it to make a buck. IMPORTANT-PLEASE READ: See, I'm now a member of the Cafepress Affiliate Program. And whenever someone makes purchases at the shops listed below AFTER accessing those shops through THIS web site, I receive a commission. So, I've put a lot of hours into this project. Now, it's still a free country and you all don't owe me anything, BUT if you find cool shops that you'll be purchasing from because of this page, I sure would appreciate it if you would come to this page first when you access those stores.

SoopaJDelux
I absolutely love this artwork. So expressive and creative, don't you think? She also has a website with more of her artwork at www.soopajdelux.com.

CreativeTaylor
Colorful, beautifully- designed, unique graphic artwork. Be sure to check out the super cute owl designs!

Kazaz Boutique Fabulous illustrations of glamour girls...and I really like that her artwork celebrates an array of cultural diversity!

fairyland studio
Don't let the name fool you into thinking you're going to find cutesy pastel designs. This shop has some of the COOLEST artwork I've seen on CafePress. Definitely take a took. It will especially appeal those who are fond of yesteryear.

toasted tees Hip, cool, funny, retro designs.

Karla Ruiz
Dark and goth big-eyed people paintings. Morbid, but in a good way.

doodle house Colorful, creative, fun, interesting artwork by artist, Gary Hirsch.

makoto studios Very cool, hip, funky contemporary designs.

Ophelia's Art Lots of cool, nicely illustrated art to choose from: elegant, retro, old-fashioned pin-ups, vintage-style, art deco as well as some dark/morbid designs. Really cool stuff- lots to choose from, for a varety of moods.

maryostore Old-fashioned folk-artsy and whimsical artwork consisting mainly of animals and nature themes.

bathroom girl Cool stuff- great designs for strong, in-your-face women (and men too!)

Glass Tapestry Artwork This shop has some really cute and fun folk-artsy work that celebrates plump happy women having fun and enjoying friendships.

bill4firstlady These designs are so great! Funny, political and feministic (is that a word?). If you're a Republican, you probably won't love these as much as I do.

monster culture COOL stuff! Wierd, cute, dark, funny little cartoons. Check it out. Seriously. It's so unique.

DanitaArt Yet some more artwork that I absolutely love...Beautiful colorful and expressive portraits of women and a series of Frida Kahlo portraits.

OttoBlotto
These mixed media designs appear to be a combination of vintage ephemera and original drawings. The result is nicely designed really cool stuff.

hubert cumberdale's shack Again... wierd, cool, kinda funny and cute in a Yoda/so-ugly-it's-cute kinda way. And if you have some time to kill, definitely check out the link to the page with this guy's animations. I watched one of the Salad Finger (I think) episodes. So wierd. But in an fascinating, amazingly creative way. This guy is brilliant.

pamela thompson Cute, hip, fun, colorful cartoon designs (more for women and children). This woman is an artist and a fashion designer. And I liked her main web site because it reminded me of my own. It's like a window into her life. Pamela is a girls-kick-ass kinda chick.

pxlvision & fluo design Cool, hip, graffiti, urban chic, and 70's retro designs.

dollface punk Hip, cool, fun, and cute 50's retro. It's not entirely clear if all of the designs began with vintage copyright-free images or just some, but regardless, images are used cleverly, elegantly, and creatively.

Catflox Clothing Incredibly adorable Japanese anime-style creatures. Tons of really cool cutesy stuff to choose from!

Ursula Dodge I love these illustrations! There's a whole series of these wonderfully-named and whimsical animals driving their little cars, so you can collect them all!

ka designs Simple and funny, 70's retro graphic style.

rayvin 2000 Cute, cool, colorful, and whimsical ladybugs and kitties. It's girly stuff, but it works for women or children.

Joe Kaz This shop has nature-inspired artwork- feathers, flowers, pinecones, and dragonflies. I really like the insect art section.

Soul Abstract This shop has several really cool, sort of retro modern, music-inspired designs.

Pop Art Pets Fun, funny and colorful. A variety of dog breeds and a few cats photographed and presented in a whimsical pop-art style on various products.

Langlois Studios

Really cool, somewhat dark, but also kinda funny illustrations. I love these!

Art by Juli Ryan There are not too many products to choose from because at this time this artist doesn't have a premium shop, but her art is lovely and she has several different pieces available on different items and maybe if we all buy something she'll upgrade to a premium shop and have lots more to choose from!

getmovinjp Very cool, colorful, Japanese anime-style cartoons as well as cool pen & ink (b&w) illustrations.

idotink OK- this one isn't a whole store of stuff like the others above, but it's so damn funny I had to include it. Currently, there's just the one gnome design.
